Captured by the cinematic eye of Ruwayne Ramdhani from Raj Media, the session was shot at Menlyn Mall in Pretoria – a sleek, modern backdrop for this high-concept, cross-culture collaboration.
Diyana’s connection to Kitana wasn’t just surface level. “She was always my favorite character – elegant, fearless, and full of confidence,” she explains. “Recreating her look felt like reconnecting with the playful, imaginative part of myself that first fell in love with gaming.”
Every piece of the costume – stitched by hand over 19 hours – embodied that passion. From the shimmering silver detailing to the striking face mask, fitted wrist cuffs, and Kitana’s signature Sensu/Ogi fan, Diyana’s dedication to detail didn’t go unnoticed. Her nails and makeup were styled to perfection, adding polish to an already commanding presence. The result? A cosplay that felt more like a cinematic transformation than just a costume.
Alongside her stood the Toyota 86 Nur Spec – a subtle yet bold limited-edition performance machine, with only 86 units available in South Africa. While the car retains its stock height, it’s far from ordinary. Fitted with the Aero Nur Style Full Body Kit, 17-inch Rohana wheels powder coated in rich purple and accented with vibrant red touches throughout the interior and brake calipers, the car brings a refined, purposeful energy to the shoot.
The build includes Vland V2 headlights with sleek DRLs, upgraded Vari Racing front brake discs, headers from Stock-ish SA, and a full exhaust system by PowerFlow Randburg – giving it both the looks and sound of a well-loved driver’s machine.
